Media Literacy Journal #1
Two points i have chosen from the first video are "We spend 10 to 12 hours a day with media" and "Literacy can be read or created". The fact that we spend 10 to 12 hours a day with media is pretty crazy because although we may not realize it, media is everywhere we go such as on television, the radio, cell phones, in the newspaper and many other places. With so much media in the world today it is easy to spend hours upon hours reading and creating media. This brings me to my second point from the video "Literacy can be read or created". There are many social media websites on the internet today that invite people to make an account and post freely about whats going on in the world today. Many people visit these sites to read posts and watch videos from different publishers. From the second video i picked three points "Audiences are targeted by media", "Media can be beautiful but dangerous", and "Media teaches children values in right and wrong ways". My first point "Audiences are targeted by media" means that people who publish media want to attract a large audience. News programs must bring in viewers with top stories from around the world today. If the stories are not informative and interesting then the number of viewers will go down. My second point "Media can be beautiful and dangerous" means that media can be a good source of information but it can also be dangerous because there is a lot of websites and broadcasts that put out false information or portray the wrong image. My third point "Media teaches children values in right and wrong ways" means that children should be careful when it comes to certain kinds of media. In this generation children are surrounded by media from a young age and it is important that they have a good understanding of what is right and wrong in the media. There are a lot of websites on the internet that can be potentially dangerous but there are also many that are educational.

WWW
The World Wide Web, Web 2.0 and Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing
-Uploading a photo to the internet is considered cloud computing
-Once uploaded the photo goes to a secret warehouse called a data center
-The photo could be in many different warehouses all over the world
